CAT Exam
CAT 2019 (Common Admission Test) exam date is November 24, 2019. IIMs will
conduct the CAT 2019 exam on the last Sunday of November 2019 in two sessions. IIM-
CAT 2019 is the MBA entrance exam for admission to 20 Indian Institutes of
Management (IIMs) and other ranked and internationally recognized MBA colleges in
India. The CAT 2019 Registration process will begin in the first week of August, 2019 .

CAT Exam Date: Key Trends
Since 2009 CAT test has changed to Computer Based Test. CAT test dates till 2013
were spread over 20 days and in 40 sessions. In 2014, the CAT test dates were limited
to two days and four slots. With effect from 2015, CAT test date has turned into a solitary
day and two slots. Likewise, the CAT 2019 test date is additionally expected to be over

Who Conducts CAT Exam?
CAT Exam is conducted each year by one of the main six Old IIMs. For instance, IIM
Kozhikode conducted CAT in the year 2012; IIM Indore conducted CAT test in 2013 and
2014; IIM Ahmedabad Conducted CAT in 2015; IIM Bangalore conducted CAT in 2016;
IIM Lucknow conducted CAT test in 2017, IIM Calcutta conducted CAT 2018 test on
November 25, 2018.
What is the CAT Exam Structure?
Common Admission Test is a Computer-based Test (CBT) of 3 hours length. IIMs
release a guide and mock test 30-40 days before the CAT Exam date to advise the CAT

When to apply for CAT 2019 Exam?
CAT 2019 Exam Notification will be released by the IIMs in the first week of July in all
the main papers. For 2018, IIM Calcutta has released the notice for the CAT test on July
29. The competitors who wish to pursue MBA in one of the IIMs, need to enroll and
apply for the CAT test. The last date to apply for CAT 2019 test for admission to IIMs
through CAT test is the last seven day stretch of September 2019.
CAT test application is submitted on the web and the enrollment procedure starts in the
first week of August. CAT 2019 Application Fee is relied upon to go up to Rs.2000/ –
from Rs.1900/ – for General Category applicants and Rs.1000/ – for reserved applicants.
Who can appear in CAT Exam 2019?
If you have one or more of following qualifications, you can apply and appear in CAT
Test
- Completed Bachelor’s degree with the required percentage, or
- Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) with required percentage or aggregate,
or - Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree with required percentage or CGPA or
aggregate - No Age bar is prescribed to register and appear in CAT exam
How & When to get the Admit Card for CAT exam?
IIMs issue CAT Exam Admit card in the last week of October on the CAT test site and no
printed version of the CAT test Admit card is sent to any test taker. For 2018 CAT test,
the Admit Card date is October 24, 2018. The CAT hall ticket will be live at IIM-CAT site.
The Admit card for CAT test will stay accessible till the CAT test date. Aspirants need to
download the Admit Card from IIM-CAT site.
